McKnight joins Plunkett Cooney’s Business Litigation Practice Group
Megan P. McKnight recently joined Plunkett Cooney, one of the Midwest’s oldest and largest law firms, as an attorney in the firm’s Banking, Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights and Commercial Litigation practice groups.

McKnight is a member of Plunkett Cooney’s Bloomfield Hills office who focuses her practice primarily in the area of business litigation with emphasis on banking and financial services disputes.
She has extensive experience representing financial institutions and corporate clients in a range of disputes, including loan defaults and workouts, complex collection actions, business fraud and other misconduct, real estate disputes, and non-compete and unfair competition claims.
McKnight is admitted to practice in the state, federal and bankruptcy courts in Michigan as well as in the state and federal courts in Illinois. As part of her litigation practice, she is routinely consulted for her e-discovery expertise.
McKnight is a member of the Oakland County, Illinois and Women’s bar associations and the American Inns of Court – Oakland County Chapter. She is also an active member of Leadership Next for the United Way of Southeastern Michigan, a group of emerging leaders engaged in seeking solutions to regional issues and creating a vibrant and caring community.
A cum laude graduate of University of Michigan Law School in 2003, McKnight served as associate and contributing editor of the Michigan Journal of International Law and co-chair of the Student Network for Asylum and Refugee Law. She received her undergraduate degree, cum laude and with honors, from Kalamazoo College in 1999.

Members of the group have nearly 110 years of combined experience as in-house bank counsel prior to joining the firm.
