Kennedy revs up Plunkett Cooney’s Motor Vehicle Practice Group
Carrie Kennedy recently joined Plunkett Cooney, one of the Midwest’s oldest and largest law firms, as a senior attorney in the firm’s Insurance and Professional Liability Department.
“Carrie is an exceptionally talented and experienced attorney in the area of motor vehicle law,” said Robert G. Kamenec, Plunkett Cooney’s Insurance and Professional Liability Department Leader. “Her expertise in brain trauma and spinal cord injury cases adds even more depth to our accomplished team of attorneys.”
Kennedy focuses her practice on insurance-related work such as coverage disputes, entitlement issues and catastrophic injuries, as well as on no-fault law and motor vehicle litigation. She has particular expertise in defending claims involving traumatic brain injuries, severe burns and spinal cord injuries.
A member of the firm’s Detroit office, Kennedy also has experience in premise liability, Medicare/Medicaid and ERISA litigation, estate planning, probate litigation, contracts, creditors’ rights and commercial litigation.
Kennedy received her law degree, cum laude, from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 1997. While there, she served as the Managing Editor of Law Review. Kennedy received her undergraduate degree from Michigan State University in 1992.
Admitted to practice in Michigan, Kennedy is a member of the Oakland County and Women's bar associations, as well as the Michigan Brain Injury Association.
Attorneys in Plunkett Cooney’s Motor Vehicle Liability Practice Group focus on cases involving personal injuries resulting from motor vehicle accidents.
