Litigation Support Manager joins Plunkett Cooney

BLOOMFIELD HILLS , Mich. – May 14, 2008 – Among the most accomplished litigation and trial firms in the Midwest , Plunkett Cooney added to its technical expertise with the recent addition of Beth Niepokuj as the firm’s Litigation Support Manager.

Niepokuj’s duties include assisting attorneys and paralegals during the discovery phase of cases and in preparation for facilitations, mediations, arbitrations and trial using technical aides such as Summation, TrialDirector and Powerpoint.

Prior to joining Plunkett Cooney, Niepokuj worked as a Senior Litigation Consultant and Director of Training for Prism Litigation Technologies. She was responsible for providing litigation consulting services, including software implementation recommendations, data analysis, and software installation and configuration. Niepokuj has created and presented numerous multimedia presentations for mediations, facilitations and trials.

She also has experience with additional litigation support software, including LiveNote, Sanction II, IPRO, Doculex, CaseMap and other software.

Since joining the firm, Niepokuj has quickly made a positive impact on the litigation support community in Michigan . She is a founding member of the Association of Litigation Support Professional’s (ALSP) Michigan Chapter. ALSP was founded in 2007 by litigation support professionals working to standardize the field, to share best practices and to provide certification and training for its members.

Niepokuj received her paralegal certificate from Oakland University in 1994 and her undergraduate degree from Siena Heights University in Southfield in 1995. She is also a Summation, inData Director Suite and TrialDirector 5 certified trainer.
