Davis adds title insurance, business expertise to firm’s Columbus office
Title insurance and real estate attorney April Opper Davis recently joined the Columbus, Ohio office of Plunkett Cooney, one of the Midwest’s oldest and largest law firms.

As a member of the firm’s Title Insurance Practice Group, Davis represents title insurance companies, property owners and lenders in a variety of title insurance and real estate disputes. Her corporate practice involves a range of services, including commercial litigation, environmental regulatory compliance, bankruptcy and banking law with an emphasis on loan workouts and foreclosures.
Davis represents clients in all phases of litigation, including cases proceeding to trial and on appeal. She has successfully tried cases in Michigan, Indiana and Ohio, and her appellate practice includes arguments before several appellate district courts in Ohio.
Davis received her law degree, with honors, from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 2003. She received her master’s degree in Literature from Eastern Michigan University in 2000 and her undergraduate degree, with distinction, from the University of Michigan in 1997. Davis received numerous academic honors throughout her college career, including Order of the Coif, Eastern Michigan University Graduate Fellow and University of Michigan Class Honors. She also has the distinction of having previously served as a clerk for the Michigan Court of Appeals in Grand Rapids.
Admitted to practice in state and federal courts in Ohio, Michigan and Indiana, Davis is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Ohio Land Title Association. A licensed Ohio Real Estate Salesperson, she is also a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Ohio Association of Realtors and the Columbus Board of Realtors.
