An attorney in the firm’s Detroit office, Richard J. Rozycki concentrates his practice in the area of construction law, representing clients in claims involving accidents and property defects.
Prior to joining Plunkett & Cooney, Mr. Rozycki worked as a research clerk in the firm’s appellate law practice group where he performed research, drafted motions and prepared appellate briefs.
Mr. Rozycki graduated from the University of Detroit School of Law in 2006. While in law school, he was a senior member of Law Review, and he was actively involved with the Moot Court State of Michigan Competition Team. Mr. Rozycki was also a member of the Moot Court board of directors and a finalist in the 2004 competition. He earned his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University in 2003.
Representative Client Work
- Defended an underground water and sewer contractor in a property damage suit involving buildings that were damaged during the course of a large road re-surfacing project
- Defended a large general contractor in a personal injury suit by a subcontractor’s employee involving claims in excess of $500,000
