Robert J. Shefferly

Robert J. Shefferly is a member of the firm’s Grand Rapids office who focuses his practice in the areas of real estate law and title insurance.

Mr. Shefferly represent clients in title resolution matters involving real property and other real estate disputes. His practice also includes indemnification requests, clearance or filing of formal title claims and resolving Fair Debt Collection Practice Act disputes, as well as litigating and negotiating title insurance claims.

Mr. Shefferly received his law degree from Wayne State University Law School in 2004 and his undergraduate degree from Aquinas College in 2000. He’s a member of Michigan Bar Association’s Real Estate and Probate and Estate Planning sections, as well as the Michigan Land Title Association.

Representative Client Work

• Assisted major lending institutions with the foreclosure of hundreds of residential properties valued at over $50,000,000
• Extensive knowledge of title insurance and identifying title issues, while also providing insight into problem solving and achieving the optimal result for clients
• Assist major national lending institutions in resolving real property disputes and reformation actions
