Karl A. Weber is the managing partner of the firm’s Northern Michigan office, located in Marquette, Michigan.
Mr. Weber is a trial lawyer practicing in Plunkett Cooney’s Commercial and Governmental Litigation Practices. He is also a member of the firm’s Construction, Product Liability and Environmental practice groups. Mr. Weber’s practice includes all types of commercial and business litigation. It also extends into the areas of construction law, civil rights litigation (defense), environmental and complex commercial litigation. In addition, Mr. Weber has special expertise in Indian Law (tort and gaming).
Mr. Weber is admitted to practice in the states of Michigan and Minnesota, and he has tried numerous cases in both of these states, including the U.S. District Courts for Michigan and the District of Minnesota. He is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for Wisconsin. A 1986 graduate of the University of Michigan, Mr. Weber also received his J.D. degree from the University of Michigan Law School in 1990.
Mr. Weber has served as the Chief Appellate Judge for the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians since 2004.
