Elizabeth J. Blount is a member of the firm’s Detroit office who practices in the areas of insurance law and professional liability.
Ms. Blount represents insurance companies in complex insurance coverage matters in both pre-litigation and litigation. Her coverage practice involves the defense of environmental contamination, Michigan no-fault insurance, construction defect and product liability claims.
As a Plunkett Cooney summer associate in 2006, Ms. Blount gained experience alongside members of the firm’s practice groups in the areas of complex litigation and construction law. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Blount interned at the Michigan Department of Civil Rights.
Ms. Blount graduated, cum laude, from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 2007, where she received numerous awards. She also served as a Law Review mentor and was inducted into the Justice Frank Murphy Honor Society. Ms. Blount received her undergraduate degree and teaching certificate from the University of Michigan in 2001.
