Practice-Specific Experience
Mary P. Cauley is a member of Plunkett Cooney’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group. Her practice is principally focused in the area of employment law and business litigation.
Ms. Cauley works closely with our business, corporate and municipal clients, providing legal guidance in all areas of the employment relationship such as the hiring, discipline, and termination of employees, as well as the implementation of and in compliance with the numerous federal and state employment discrimination and wage laws. She has substantial experience in representing employer clients in the litigation of employment matters.
Ms. Cauley handles collective bargaining agreements on behalf of employers, including negotiations, grievances and arbitration, as well as 312 arbitration for municipalities.
Ms. Cauley also represents creditors and banks in litigation arising out of creditor and depository relationships. She specializes in the defense of individual and class action claims stemming from alleged violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act and related state statues. Her practice in relation to such claims extends over 12 states.
Ms. Cauley has lectured extensively on all areas of employment law and business litigation issues for clients and organizations.
