A partner in the firm’s East Lansing office, Peter D. Cronk primarily represents financial institutions. He also represents real estate developers, municipalities and title companies.
Mr. Cronk concentrates his practice on commercial and real estate loan workouts for several Fortune 500 lenders and represents numerous commercial clients in the areas of real property acquisition, commercial litigation in state and federal courts and corporate law.
Representative Client Work
- Lead counsel on hundreds of commercial and real estate loan workouts in all major industries
- Expertise in commercial real estate and personal property foreclosure issues
- Successfully negotiated and drafted multiple loan sales, short-sales, debt restructures and other transactions involving distressed companies and investor capital
- Represented a lender in a complex loan workout involving a $50 million loan facility to a steel company with collateral in several states
- Represented a lender in a foreclosure/receiver action involving three licensed nursing home facilities that were kept in operation and prepared for sale to third-party investor while increasing its value
- Represented a real estate developer in a $100 million redevelopment project involving an historic building
- Negotiated and drafted multiple purchase agreements for business acquisition transactions
- Successfully pursued a real estate development company and engineering design company for breach of contract, fraud and negligence on behalf of 20 homeowners in a residential development flood case
