A member of the firm’s East Lansing office, Edward D. Dubendorf focuses his practice in the areas of transactional law, general civil and criminal litigation, municipal law, medical liability and probate law.

Prior to joining the firm full-time, Mr. Dubendorf worked in the firm’s East Lansing office as a summer associate and research clerk.  His previous work experience includes serving as a victim’s advocate with the Genesee County Prosecutor’s office, and as a teacher and an administrator in the Flint Community Schools.

Mr. Dubendorf received his law degree, summa cum laude, from Michigan State University College of Law in 2005.  While attending law school, he was the Chief Editor of Articles for the Journal of Medicine and Law

Representative Client Work

  • Received dismissal of plaintiff’s 13-count complaint, which involved second degree burns, based on spoliation of evidence
  • Received dismissal in automobile negligence case based on discovery violations
  • Received dismissal on behalf of client alleged to have left the scene of an accident and operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated based on a Miranda violation
  • Received dismissal on behalf of client charged with assault with intent to do great bodily harm (less than murder) and two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon (felonious assault) based on self defense and defense of property
  • Negotiated settlement in million dollar probate estate
  • Successfully represented client before the United States Medical Licensing Examination – Committee on Irregular Behavior
  • Representation of healthcare professionals in complex medical malpractice suits and administrative hearings
