David A. Dworetsky is a member of the firm’s Bloomfield Hills office and Insurance Law Practice Group. He handles a variety of matters for insurance carriers, including coverage opinions and declaratory judgment actions.

Mr. Dworetsky’s coverage work concentrates on the representation of primary and excess insurers involved in complex, high-exposure environmental contamination, defective products, construction defect, and personal and advertising injury coverage matters, both during and pre-litigation.

Mr. Dworetsky also counsels clients in the areas of Michigan no fault law and motor vehicle litigation.

Representative Client Work

  • Defending insurers in complex coverage litigation involving extensive underlying environmental contamination in Indiana, Illinois, West Virginia, Missouri and Michigan.
  • Defending insurers in personal and advertising injury coverage matters in Wisconsin, Kentucky, and Michigan.
  • Obtained summary judgment in Indiana for insurer as to the recovery of pre-tender costs.
  • Obtained summary disposition for insurer in an advertising injury coverage matter, upheld by the Michigan Supreme Court
  • Obtained summary judgment in the Western District of Kentucky for the reimbursement of a settlement contribution, in a personal injury liability coverage matter
  • Assisted in a no cause of action jury trial, finding no coverage for a $1,500,000 coverage claim pursuant to the care, custody and control exclusion
  • Obtained summary disposition for an insurer in a contractual indemnity matter.
