Donelle R. Buratto

A member of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group, Donelle R. Buratto focuses her practice in the areas of general litigation, product liability, municipal law and premises liability. She also represents clients in litigation matters involving breach of contract and tortious interference.

Ms. Buratto received her law degree from the University of Michigan Law School in 2006. While attending law school, she was active in a number of organizations, including the Child Advocacy Law Clinic, the Henry M. Campbell Moot Court Competition, the Women Law Student Association and Wolverine Street Law. She received her undergraduate degree with a major in political science in 2003 from the University of Michigan. 

Representative Client Work

• Drafted a successful motion for summary judgment against racial discrimination claims brought in federal district court and assisted in the provision of employment law consulting services on compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act for a national corporation
• Acted as second-chair in a multi-party, complex litigation case based on negligence claims arising out of a fatal boating accident
• Assisted in conducting discovery and drafted a successful motion for summary disposition on behalf of a local private school facing allegations of breach of contract and constitutional law violations
• Assisted in conducting discovery and drafted a successful motion for summary disposition on behalf of a local recreation facility against premises liability claims
• Obtained court approvals of favorable settlement agreements involving product liability and negligence claims
