Position: Accounts Payable Clerk

Location: Bloomfield Hills

Located in the firm's Bloomfield Hills, Michigan office, Plunkett Cooney’s Finance Department, is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join the team. This position is responsible for processing all internal client check requests and will report to the Accounting Supervisor.

Responsibilities include:

  • Processing all internal client check requests from firm offices
  • Monitoring the client expense check request box
  • Ensuring client expenses adhere to client’s guidelines
  • Preparing and reconciling vendor monthly invoices/statements
  • E-filing and maintaining orderly accounts payable files
  • Miscellaneous clerical duties such as answering the telephone and filing
  • Serving as back-up for other members in the accounting department and other related duties as assigned by the Accounting Supervisor or Controller.

To be considered, candidates must have a high school diploma and four years of experience in an office environment (or) must have completed one to two college level accounting courses. Candidates must also have the ability to use a 10-key adding machine, strong math and organization skills, good oral and written communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook. Accounts payable, or high-volume data entry and Adobe PDF experience preferred.

Plunkett Cooney offers a flexible remote work option subject to performance and training, however, this position will be required to report to the Bloomfield Hills office 2-3 days per week to provide in-office support.
