Position: Tax Attorney

Location: Bloomfield Hills, MI

Plunkett Cooney, one of the largest and most accomplished law firms in the Midwest, is seeking a lateral Tax Attorney, to join our Bloomfield Hills, Michigan office (location may be negotiable).

The preferred candidate will be an experienced and versatile attorney with a client-centric philosophy who has demonstrated an ability to compete and prosper in complex environments.

To be considered, a candidate must have:

• Seven to 10 years of experience in the areas of tax law
• Experience with corporate, partnership and business income tax, as well as real estate deals, entity structures and formations, bankruptcy and reorganization
• A portable book of business with a value of $500,000 minimum
• Progressively more responsible client relations management
• Strong analytical, writing, communication and interpersonal skills
• A J.D. from an ABA-approved law school

We are seeking a well-rounded, dynamic and highly motivated lawyer, who has demonstrated an ability to compete and prosper in highly competitive and complex environments with significant client contact. Candidates must be members in good standing, as well as active, in the State Bar of Michigan. Strong writing, communication and interpersonal skills are required.
