Mitzel joins Plunkett Cooney’s Tort, Litigation Practice Group
Attorney Brian K. Mitzel recently joined Plunkett Cooney, one of the Midwest’s oldest and largest law firms, as a member of the firm’s Tort & Litigation Practice Group.
A member of the firm’s Bloomfield Hills office, Mitzel focuses his litigation practice primarily in the areas of premises liability, property and casualty, and general liability. Admitted to practice in Michigan, he is a member of the State Bar of Michigan.
Prior to joining Plunkett Cooney, Mitzel worked as a file clerk, an administrative clerk and a research clerk for the firm.
In 2016, Mitzel received his law degree, cum laude, from University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, where he received numerous academic awards, including several CALI and Book awards. He received his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Wayne State University in 2013.
The members of Plunkett Cooney’s Tort & Litigation Practice Group focus on the defense of civil litigation, including motor vehicle negligence, liquor liability, product liability, toxic torts and premises liability, including slip and falls, trip and falls and open and obvious dangers. Members of the practice group have handled literally thousands of cases to successful conclusion, and they have significant trial experience at all levels of the state and federal court systems.
