Lettiere joins Plunkett Cooney's Chicago office

Senior attorney Melissa J. Lettiere recently joined the Chicago office of Plunkett Cooney, one of the Midwest’s oldest and largest full-service law firms.

A member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation and Real Estate and Title Insurance Law practice groups, Lettiere represents lenders, commercial and residential real property owners, national title insurance companies and commercial businesses.

Lettiere routinely litigates lien priority disputes, title and mortgage fraud, title and mortgage lien validations, quiet title actions, foreclosures and real estate transaction fraud. She also handles matters involving loss of valuation, subrogation and recovery, as well as disputes that involve breach of contract and declaratory judgment actions related to title insurance coverage determinations.

In addition, she advises clients with respect to drafting and negotiating commercial contracts that include employment, service and vendor agreements, commercial, residential and equipment leases, among others.

Admitted to practice in state and federal courts in Illinois, Lettiere received her law degree from The John Marshall Law School in 2007. She received her undergraduate degree in 2002 from the University of Iowa. Lettiere is a member of the American Bar Association’s (ABA) 2016 Leadership Academy class and the ABA’s Title Insurance Litigation Committee and Appellate Advocacy Committee of the Torts Trial Insurance Practice Section.
