Plunkett Cooney attorney Kaitlin M. Gant recently earned the ANSI-accredited Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) credential through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
CIPP is the global standard in privacy certification. Developed and launched by IAPP with leading subject matter experts, CIPP is the world’s first broad-based global privacy and data protection credentialing program. This certification demonstrates a strong foundation in U.S. private-sector privacy laws and regulations and understanding of the legal requirements for the responsible transfer of sensitive personal data to/from the U.S., the European Union and other jurisdictions. Gant joins the ranks of professionals worldwide who currently hold one or more IAPP certifications.

Gant’s experience with privacy and data security laws and regulations comes from her years working in a compliance role with in-house counsel at a global consulting and business management firm. Gant’s practice also includes Native American Indian tribal law matters.
Gant received her law degree from Michigan State University College of Law in 2020 and her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in 2017.
