Bio
Hussein S. Berri is a member of the firm’s Transportation Law Practice Group who focuses his practice in the areas of motor vehicle negligence and no-fault law. Mr. Berri routinely represents insurers, corporations and individuals in a variety of general liability defense matters, including first- and third-party automobile and premises liability cases and insurance defense litigation.
An associate in the firm’s Detroit office, Mr. Berri is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the Oakland County, American and Detroit bar associations. He also volunteers at Project Clean Slate, which is a city of Detroit initiative focused on helping residents expunge their criminal records in order to obtain better job opportunities.
Mr. Berri received his law degree, cum laude, from Michigan State University College of Law in 2019. While there, he served as a judicial clerk for the Hon. Judge David Allen in the Third Judicial Circuit of Michigan. Mr. Berri received his undergraduate degree from Eastern Michigan University in 2015.
Representative Client Work

Represented a physician in a contract dispute that included a non-compete agreement. Plaintiff's preliminary injunction, which would have left the client unable to work anywhere near his home town, was denied and a favorable out-of-court settlement was reached.

Drafted a motion for summary disposition regarding a slip and fall case involving a national retail store, as well as several motions for other clients involved in bodily injury claims with threshold injuries

Successfully assisted with negotiating a commercial transaction for a client who was selling a business
