A member of the firm's Transportation Law Practice Group, Becky J. Murphy focuses her paralegal practice in the areas of first- and third-party auto liability with an emphasis on fraudulent and suspicious claims.
Ms. Murphy has extensive experience with all Michigan coverages from collision, comprehensive and property damage to bodily injury, uninsured motorists, underinsured motorists and personal injury protection coverage.
A former claims specialist for a national insurance company for over 10 years, she worked in its Special Investigate Unit (SIU) where she investigated potential fraud in auto and fire claims, using National Insurance Crime Bureau Indicators. Some of these matters resulted in affirmative litigation being filed against the entity involved in alleged multi-claims fraud schemes.
Ms. Murphy received both her undergraduate and master's degree from Western Michigan University.
