Diversity Leadership

Since 2002, Plunkett Cooney's Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Committee has met monthly to address issues pertinent to the recruiting, hiring and retaining of employees. Meetings follow a formal agenda, and regular reports are issued to the firm’s management team and Board of Directors.

Ellen Bartman Jannette serves as Plunkett Cooney's Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and she routinely works alongside the members of the firm's DEI Committee. Ms. Jannette, who is one of the state’s most accomplished professional liability attorneys, is also involved in the firm’s mentoring and associate development efforts, as well as activities sponsored by Plunkett Cooney’s Women’s Initiative Committee.

The firm’s DEI Committee is led by attorney Cloie Chidiac who is a member of Plunkett Cooney’s Torts & Litigation Practice Group. Ms. Chidiac is also active in the firm’s Associate Development and Women’s Initiative committees and their related activities.

Members of the committee focus on moving the firm further along its DEI path by working to achieve the overarching firm goals of better reflecting the communities in which we work and live and by creating an environment of mutual respect and equal opportunity for all members of the firm.
