Firm Sways Appellate Court to Add Mayoral Term Limit to Nov. 3 Ballot

Plunkett Cooney attorneys Robert G. Kamenec and Jeffrey M. Schroder successfully argued to the Michigan Court of Appeals last week that under state law Warren City Clerk Sonja Buffa must place on the Nov. 3 ballot a proposal to reduce the Mayor's term limit from five to three, consistent with all other elected city officials.

When the Michigan Supreme Court declined to hear a further appeal in the matter, the case became binding precedent in Michigan. Click here for the full story.
