Plunkett Cooney names Hall as its newest partner

Lisa A. Hall, a member of the Grand Rapids office of Plunkett Cooney, one of the Midwest’s oldest and largest law firms, was recently named a partner of the firm.

“Lisa is a talented attorney and a tireless advocate on behalf of her clients,” said Plunkett Cooney’s President & CEO Henry B. Cooney. “Her dedication to client service, the firm and the legal profession are very apparent, so we are pleased to welcome her into our partnership.”

Named a Michigan Rising Star in the areas of bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights by Super Lawyers magazine in 2013 and 2014 respectively, Hall is a member of Plunkett Cooney’s Banking, Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights Practice Group. She focuses her practice primarily in the areas of creditors’ rights and related issues. Her clients include regional and national financial institutions in commercial loan workouts, as well as creditors in state and federal court collection proceedings.

Admitted to practice in state and federal courts in Michigan, Hall is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the Grand Rapids and Federal bar associations. She also serves on the board of directors for the Western Chapter of the Risk Management Association.

Hall received her law degree, cum laude, from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2006, where she served as a senior editor of Law Review. While attending law school, she served as a class representative in the Student Bar Association, a Cooley Ambassador - Peer Mentor, and she was a member of the Women’s Law Alliance.

The members of Plunkett Cooney’s Banking, Bankruptcy & Creditors' Rights Practice Group have represented banks, savings and loan associations, mortgage companies, credit unions, finance companies and servicers for more than 25 years. Members of the group have over 225 years of combined experience as in-house bank counsel prior to joining the firm.
