Glazebrook elected to Detroit Bar Association Board of Directors

Plunkett Cooney partner Benjamin M. Glazebrook was recently elected to the board of directors of the Detroit Bar Association.

Glazebrook, who will serve a two-year term on the board, was sworn in during the association’s “Raising the Bar” 2024 Annual Dinner on June 13 at the Detroit Golf Club.

A member of the Detroit office of Plunkett Cooney, one of the Midwest’s oldest and most accomplished law firms, Glazebrook will be responsible for providing strategic leadership to attain the Detroit Bar’s goals and objectives, for identifying new members and for developing new opportunities with strategic partners.

Founded in 1836, the Detroit Bar Association is one of the three oldest bar associations in the country. It serves the legal community in Southeast Michigan by supporting the ethical and successful practice of law, as well as the fair administration of justice.

Glazebrook focuses his practice in the areas of first- and third-party motor vehicle liability claims. He has expertise in conducting investigations of alleged fraud and suspicious claims involving insurance policyholders and medical providers. He represents several national insurance companies and has successfully resolved numerous fraud cases, resulting in the recovery of overpaid and ill-gotten benefits.

Admitted to practice before state and federal courts in both Michigan and Texas, Glazebrook is a 2006 graduate of Wayne State University Law School. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in 2002.

Plunkett Cooney’s motor vehicle liability practice extends throughout the states of Michigan, Ohio and Indiana, and it includes the resolution of cross-border claims stemming from disputes in Canada. The firm’s attorneys serve as panel counsel to some of the largest insurance providers in the world, including in the areas of motor vehicle liability, fraudulent claims, No-Fault law and trucking liability.

Established in 1913, Plunkett Cooney is a leading provider of business law and litigation services to clients in the private and public sectors. The firm employs approximately 130 attorneys in seven Michigan cities, Chicago, Illinois, Columbus, Ohio and Indianapolis, Indiana.

Plunkett Cooney has achieved the highest rating (AV) awarded by Martindale-Hubbell, a leading peer review service, and has received Mansfield Rule Certification for midsize law firms, which recognizes leaders in diversity, equity and inclusion within the legal industry.
