Lisa A. Hall, a partner in the Grand Rapids office of Plunkett Cooney, one of the Midwest’s oldest and largest law firms, was recently named among the Top Lawyers 2022 for banking and finance litigation by Grand Rapids Magazine.

The research for the Top Lawyers list was created by Professional Research Services, and it is based on an online peer-review survey sent out to the certified lawyers within the Grand Rapids area. Inclusion in Grand Rapids Magazine’s Top Lawyers list is based solely upon one’s standing within their peer group, and listings cannot be purchased.

“Lisa is a talented attorney and a tireless advocate on behalf of her clients,” said Plunkett Cooney’s President & CEO Thomas P. Vincent. “Her dedication to client service, the firm and the legal profession are very apparent, and she is very deserving of this honor.”

Named a Michigan Rising Star for several years in the areas of bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights by Super Lawyers magazine, Hall is a member of Plunkett Cooney’s Banking, Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights Practice Group. She maintains a wide-ranging practice that includes expertise in banking law, commercial litigation, creditors’ rights, liquor licensing, municipal liability and real estate law.

Admitted to practice in state and federal courts in Michigan, Hall is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the Grand Rapids and Federal bar associations. She also serves as president of the Western Chapter of the Risk Management Association.

Hall received her law degree, cum laude, from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2006, where she served as a senior editor of Law Review. While attending law school, she served as a class representative in the Student Bar Association, a Cooley Ambassador - Peer Mentor, and she was a member of the Women’s Law Alliance.

The members of Plunkett Cooney’s Banking, Bankruptcy & Creditors' Rights Practice Group have represented banks, savings and loan associations, mortgage companies, credit unions, finance companies and servicers for more than 25 years. Members of the group have over 225 years of combined experience as in-house bank counsel prior to joining the firm. The firm provides an array of services, including acquisition of new banking powers, litigation, and representation in bankruptcy proceedings and creditors’ rights matters, as well as loan originations and consumer credit transactions.

Established in 1913, Plunkett Cooney is a leading provider of transactional and litigation services to clients in the private and public sectors.
