PDFHutton joins Plunkett Cooney’s Torts & Litigation Practice Group
Senior attorney James J. Hutton recently joined the Torts and Litigation Practice Group of Plunkett Cooney, one of the Midwest’s oldest and most accomplished full-service law firms.
A member of Plunkett Cooney’s office in Indianapolis, Indiana, Hutton focuses his practice on insurance defense litigation involving premises liability matters, motor vehicle accident claims, construction accidents, property damage and wrongful death claims. He has nearly 30 years of experience representing national insurers and policyholders in both state and federal courts.
In addition, Hutton has extensive public service experience having previously served as a section chief for tort litigation for the Office of the Indiana Attorney General where he represented the state in various types of torts and governmental litigation. He also served as staff attorney for the Indiana Disability Rights, advocating for students with disabilities to receive Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) in the least restrictive setting.
Admitted to practice in Indiana and North Carolina, Hutton is a 1994 graduate of Indiana University School of Law - Indianapolis. He received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University in 1991. Hutton is a member of the Indiana State and Indianapolis Bar associations, as well as the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana and the DRI.
