Bio

Alexander (Alex) Wilson is a member of the firm's Transportation Law Practice Group who concentrates his practice on the defense of insurers, corporations and individuals in civil litigation matters involving first-party No-Fault and third-party automobile negligence actions, contract law and negotiations.

Mr. Wilson represents national insurers in motor vehicle third-party and first-party No-Fault claims, as well as uninsured and underinsured motorist claims. His experience includes strategic planning with his insurer clients to resolve anticipated liability claims and providing legal opinions regarding coverage and priority disputes. 

Mr. Wilson previously served as in-house counsel for a talent management firm where he gained experience representing content creators across social media platforms, negotiating brand deals and ensuring strategic growth in the ever-evolving digital space.

Representative Client Work

  • Obtained dismissals of first-party No-Fault cases based on arguments of failure to cooperate, fraud/misrepresentation and repeated violations of court orders

  • Obtained summary judgment in No-Fault matters involving priority disputes among insurance carriers, as well as other matters pertaining to the payment of personal protection insurance benefits under the Michigan No-Fault statute

  • Represented and defended various clients, including personal and commercial insurance carriers, at the trial court level for claims involving personal protection insurance, bodily injury and uninsured/underinsured motorists

  • Successfully obtained summary disposition, barring plaintiff-provider’s recovery of claimed medical bills from insurer due to prior release and settlement agreement executed by the patient-insured

  • Prevailed on summary disposition, dismissing plaintiff-provider’s recovery of claimed medical bills from insurer due to the underlying claimant’s No-Fault insurance policy, which included coordinated medical benefits

  • Assisted in structuring and negotiating agreements for content partnerships, influencer campaign collaborations and brand deals for social media influencers. In addition, assisted in resolving contractual disputes and mitigating potential legal conflicts within the digital marketing and social media influencer space.
