Originally Held: March 10, 2025
Time: Noon to 1 p.m.
Cost: Complimentary
The clock is now ticking for employers to comply with Michigan’s new Minimum Wage and Earned Sick Time (ESTA) acts. This webinar will review them both.
The state’s new minimum wage of $12.48 went into effect on Feb. 21, but employers need to understand the scope and frequency of future requirements and how the law will impact tipped workers.
The ESTA, which is already in effect, represents another seismic shift in the state’s employment law landscape. Business owners and human resource professionals who attended this webinar received an overview about how the ESTA will impact their operations, including the following:
- Employee Exemptions
- Accruals
- Carryovers
- Frontloading Time
- Waiting Periods
- ESTA in Combination with PTO
Who Should Attend
This webinar was designed to help business owners, human resource professionals and their EPLI providers understand the changes mandated by the Minimum Wage Act and ESTA.
