Diversity Leadership


Since 2002, Plunkett Cooney's Diversity & Inclusion Committee has met monthly to address issues pertinent to the recruiting, hiring and retaining employees. Meetings follow a formal agenda and regular reports are issued to the firm’s management team and Board of Directors.

Audrey J. Forbush and D'Antae Gooden serve as Co-chairs of the firm's Diversity & Plunkett Cooney Diversity TeamInclusion Committee. Members of the committee focus on moving the firm further along the diversity continuum by achieving the overarching firm goals of reflecting the population of the communities in which we work and live and creating an environment of mutual respect and equal opportunity for all.

In 2018, Plunkett Cooney President in CEO Thomas P. Vincent took the important step of naming the first Director of Diversity & Inclusion Laurel F. McGiffert.

Working alongside the firm’s management team, diversity committee members and administrative department leaders, Ms. McGiffert is responsible for leading the firm’s efforts to create a more diverse and inclusive workforce. She also has the distinction of being the firm's first female African American shareholder.
