Brooks, Saferian join Plunkett Cooney’s Insurance Coverage Group

Attorneys Shantinique Brooks and Chelsea A. Saferian recently joined the Insurance Coverage Practice Group of Plunkett Cooney, one of the oldest and most accomplished law firms in the Midwest.

A member in Plunkett Cooney’s Bloomfield Hills office, Brooks represents insurance companies in the defense of complex coverage litigation involving environmental contamination, automotive, trucking, construction defects, product liability, bad faith, and personal and advertising injury.

Admitted to practice in the state and federal courts in Michigan, Brooks is a 2019 graduate from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. She earned her undergraduate degree from the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University in 2015. Brooks is a member of the Wolverine Bar Association and the State Bar of Michigan.

A member in the firm’s Bloomfield Hills office, Saferian’s coverage experience extends to claims involving property coverage, Michigan No-Fault law, premises liability, toxic torts and construction defect. She has also handled matters involving first- and third-party motor vehicle liability claims, subrogation, general liability, premises liability, pet liability and general insurance defense litigation.

Saferian is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts in Michigan, and she received her law degree from Wayne State University Law School in 2019. She received her undergraduate degree from Michigan State University in 2015. Saferian is a member of the Detroit Bar Association, the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan – Wayne and the State Bar of Michigan.
