Senior attorney Amanda N. Hart recently joined Plunkett Cooney, one of the Midwest’s oldest and most accomplished law firms, as a member of its Real Estate Litigation and Title Insurance Law Practice Group. 

A member of the firm’s Chicago, Illinois office, Hart has nearly 15 years of experience representing clients in residential and commercial real estate transactions. Her practice involves all aspects of real estate tax liens, including preparing clients to participate in foreclosing on tax liens and vacating tax sales. This includes examining public records, abstracts of title, contracts and other legal documents to identify parties interested in real property in furtherance of tax lien foreclosure proceedings. She also routinely appears in court on contested and uncontested real estate tax lien matters, housing court matters and administrative hearings.

Admitted to practice law in state and federal courts in Illinois, Hart is a member of the State Bar of Illinois and the Chicago Bar Association. She received her law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2011 and her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2005.
