Bio
Brian E. Chapman is a senior attorney in Plunkett Cooney’s Real Estate Litigation and Title Insurance Law Practice Group. He concentrates his practice in the areas of real estate law, general and title litigation, and banking and finance law.
Mr. Chapman has extensive experience defending local lenders, national mortgage loan servicers, property owners and others in matters involving Home Ownership and Equity Protection Act, Truth in Lending Act, Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Ohio and Kentucky Consumer Protection acts. He also handles escrow defalcations and coverage matters and those requiring issuance of closing protection letters.
Mr. Chapman represents corporate clients in commercial litigation, including commercial loan workouts, easement and pipeline litigation, receiverships, defense of consumer litigation, disputes as to mortgage repurchase agreements, as well as clients involved in contract and residential real estate disputes.
Mr. Chapman has nearly 40 years of experience in creditors’ rights law, having handled all aspects of this area of practice, including foreclosures, replevin actions, real estate closings, collections and related litigation.
