Bio

Mitchell McIntyre is a member of the firm's Transportation Law Practice Group. He focuses his practice on insurance-related work involving coverage disputes, entitlement issues and catastrophic injuries, as well as on no-fault law and motor vehicle litigation.

In addition to the areas of Michigan No-Fault Personal Injury Protection and third-party liability, Mr. McIntyre has experience representing clients in cases involving medical malpractice, premises liability and employment litigation, including discrimination claims, civil rights and civil RICO actions.

A partner in the firm's Bloomfield Hills office, Mr. McIntyre graduated, cum laude, from Wayne State University Law School in 2012. While there he received several academic achievements and served as a junior and senior oralist for the school's moot court.

Representative Client Work

  • Successfully defended civil RICO action, including drafting a motion which resulted in the dismissal of eight different causes of action predicated on fraudulent conspiracy via the Michigan No-Fault Act
  • Drafted and presented multiple client personal injury claims before case evaluation panels, including a civil rights award in excess of $2 million for the client
  • Drafted successful motions for summary disposition for clients on numerous issues, including premises liability, sexual harassment and watercraft negligence
  • Drafted motion precluding all encompassing discovery into plaintiff's social media Facebook profile by successfully arguing that such intrusions are only justified by situations in which publicly available information can reasonably forecast the presence of relevant information within private social media
