Peter D. Cronk serves as Managing Partner of Plunkett Cooney's Lansing office and as Co-Leader of the Banking, Bankruptcy & Creditors' Rights Practice Group.

Mr. Cronk has an expansive client base, which includes several Fortune 500 lenders, national and international companies, real estate developers and a variety of small business. He has particular expertise in commercial loan workouts, corporate work for global companies and small businesses, real estate acquisition and development, liquor licensing and commercial litigation in both state and federal courts.

Mr. Cronk also serves as a department leader for the firm, and he sits on the Budget & Finance and Hiring committees. He has earned Martindale-Hubbell’s highest peer-review rating, “AV-Preeminent.”

  • Lead counsel on hundreds of commercial and real estate loan workouts in all major industries
  • Statewide management of defense litigation for a Fortune 100 company
  • Representation of numerous companies in start-up, corporate governance and business acquisition 
  • Represents banks and other creditors when debtors hold liquor licenses in initial transactions and in default situations 
  • Counsels corporations in management of international subsidiaries
  • Expert in commercial real estate and personal property foreclosure issues
  • Successfully negotiated and drafted multiple loan sales, short-sales, debt restructures and other transactions involving distressed companies and investor capital
  • Represented a lender in a foreclosure/receiver action involving three licensed nursing home facilities that were kept in operation and prepared for sale to third-party investor while increasing value 
  • Represented a real estate developer in a $100 million redevelopment project involving a historic building 
  • Represents multiple corporations in business, real estate and corporate litigation matters
