Bio

Brian T. McGorisk is a partner in Plunkett Cooney’s Flint office. He represents a variety of different clients in many areas of the law. 

Mr. McGorisk represents health-related organizations, financial institutions, retailers, realtors, product manufacturers, general contractors, premises owners, accountants, lawyers, surveyors and engineers. He has also worked on numerous creditors' rights cases for the past 15 years. He is counsel for one of the biggest Ambulance companies in the state of Michigan.

In addition, Mr. McGorisk has handled hundreds of premises liability cases for the last 20 years on behalf of well known retailers, including Meijer, Kroger, Kohl's, Tractor Supply and K-Mart. His practice also includes representation of numerous trucking and transportation companies and their insurance providers in related areas of litigation.

  • Represented Mobile Medical Response, one of the largest Ambulance companies in Michigan, for the last several years on numerous litigated matters
  • Represented international financial institutions in numerous legal matters
  • Represented national retailers and grocery chains in a variety of lawsuits for last 20 years
  • Defended distributor and retailer in multi-million dollar copyright/trademark infringement claim involving plush toy product
  • Represents numerous clients regarding estate/trust litigation 
  • Successfully arbitrated personal injury mold claim against a national building company
  • Defended national restaurant chain in high profile closed head injury case with indemnity and insurance coverage issues involved
  • Defended and prosecuted numerous NASD claims for and against securities firms
  • Defended numerous trucking companies in significant personal injury/wrongful death claims
  • Defended two wrongful death work related matters involving product liability and construction site management, which were dismissed through motion and then affirmed on appeal
