Plunkett Cooney attorneys among Michigan ‘Super Lawyers’ 2011

10.14.2011

Michigan Super Lawyers magazine recently named 32 attorneys from Plunkett Cooney, one of the Midwest’s oldest and largest law firms, to its 2011 list of “Super Lawyers.”

The designation is based on statewide balloting by Michigan attorneys, research conducted by Thomson Reuters, which publishes Michigan Super Lawyers magazine, and a peer review process that encompasses 60 different practice areas. Those named to the list represent only five percent of the state’s licensed practitioners.

Mary Massaron Ross, Plunkett Cooney’s Appellate Law Practice Group Leader, received special recognition by the magazine for the fifth consecutive year when she was included among the top 100 attorneys and the top 50 women lawyers in Michigan. In addition to being a member of the prestigious American Academy of Appellate Lawyers and numerous other honors, Massaron Ross was recognized last August as one of the state’s “Most Influential Attorneys” by Michigan Lawyers Weekly, a publication covering the legal industry for the past 25 years. She currently serves as the first vice president of DRI – The Voice of the Defense Bar and will become the organization’s president in 2012.
